The air conditioning stopped cooling in our 3½ yo Hyundai Kona Electric so I booked it in to get fixed. I only had to wait two weeks. Great, I thought.
But today when I dropped it off I learnt that this will be only a diagnostic visit. The service will happen after they have found out what is wrong and located the parts (which might be in Korea). Silly me thought they would, you know, fix it.
But that is not how modern (or is that postmodern) car servicing works. They don’t carry or can’t quickly get (in the same city) a wide range of parts. This dealer services at least three or four brands of vehicles which, I’m sure, complicates the matter more.
