CoinDCX Assumes Full Responsibility for $15.99 Million USDT Loss
Indian cryptocurrency exchange CoinDCX has announced it will cover the $15.99 million USDT lost due to a breach of legacy infrastructure. The incident involved an old wallet address compromised in July 2025, which, due to a technical malfunction in an automated aggregation service, accumulated user deposits instead of blocking them.
CoinDCX confirmed that all user balances are unaffected, as customer assets are secured in independent cold storage. The exchange has credited affected users and stated that trading, deposit, and withdrawal services remain fully operational.
