Only in the last 10-15 years have Americans started to believe that teens are brain-dead morons. It's a brand new idea and it's totally false. The sad thing is that it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
The whole thing is idiotic Stranger Danger panic which has morphed into the equally idiotic Sex Predator Hysteria.
Crime is WAY DOWN. Our sons and daughters have never been safer.
