On the one end you have the anti-AI Luddites who think that anything that comes out of an LLM or diffusion model is the purest shit of Satan, and on the other hand you have the all-in Skynet bros who think AI will do everything up to wiping our asses for us. I'm somewhere in the middle; I think generative tools are useful, but like any tool, only in the right hands. Too many people are just fire-and-forget when they use these things and that's how we end up with vibecoding and all the other slop. You don't use a bandsaw to sand a surface. You don't chop off an arm to fix a broken bone. If you don't know the right tool for the job, if you use the wrong tool for the job, you're gonna get fucked up results. Learn your skills, learn your tools.
