“Excessively concerned with minor details and rules, or with displaying academic learning.”
I can become consumed with minor details, if not careful. Attention to detail is great, but I don’t want to become obsessed.
Writing rules, for instance, some have helped me greatly, but can be difficult to discard when I’m ready.
I don’t want to become that person determined to prove their intellect. I’ve been the victim of their excesses.
