All of the CT and MRI scanners at my local hospital are owned and operated by private companies. The NHS has to pay to use them. I’ve had a few over the last couple of years and I dread to think what the NHS has been charged for these scans. To add insult to injury these facilities enjoy being embedded within the hospital estate! PFI is just a rip off!
