Power still out by the way, since Saturday evening. The local cell tower just came back, so we have internet without having to put the phone into special yoga positions.
Weather has been better and the flu is relenting, just some snot and a persistent cough.
Our region has just declared a state of emergency. Not sure what that does. I've seen a truck with a water tank and some barrier fences drive by. Yesterday a green helicopter was flying low over the forest, perhaps checking for trees on the power lines?
You hear generators everywhere now. Cars pass by with trailers hauling supplies to fix things or transport fresh firewood. Also an old lady on the side of the road collecting dry sticks, probably for cooking. Old houses still have wood fired cookers.
