Testdriving Thunderbird (actually Betterbird) & it works fine, but it looks like some kind of 90's holdover corporate backend database thing...
What I'm saying is, it's fuck-ugly & the interface controls are ridiculous & insufficient.
Any other ones I should try?

So... I've been using webmail for everything for more than a decade & then today there was a brief StartMail outage (upstream, beyond their control) & suddenly it occurred to me that if I were to lose access to said webmail, which also contains my history from before SM, I would lose my entire email history, more than 20 years back... 😱
Still don't feel like using a client, but given my view of where *gestures at everything* is going, I pro'lly should 😁
