the biggest damage AI has done to me personally is that i have zero interest in participating in hobbyist digital art spaces any more because its just full of no effort losers shitting out low quality trash everywhere. i suspect that the result of this at least for the medium term will be that people who have been doing this for a long time and were once interested in welcoming and educating people will just retreat further into their own subcultures until this fad passes. i used to do this because it was cool to watch people learn and improve and that is just gone now
