Ugh. I don't want WiFi smoke detectors. I don't want smoke detectors that require a separate hub. I want Zigbee or Z-Wave smoke detectors that can talk to each other and that also don't false alarm or generally act stupid as fuck. Such a thing does not seem to exist. So am I going to be stuck with these new First Alert overpriced WiFi ones, or the cheaper X-Sense that do WiFi but through their own hub? Each of which will require me to have another app on my phone. So stupid.
