i fail to see what other form of society would bring about the existence of an expansionist bourgeois nestled within the society that could bring about a social upheaval like the industrial revolution other than feudalism. like maybe the chinese, indian or middle eastern societies at the time could have done it, presupposing that they had been able to rebuff earlier colonial efforts against them, but like they wouldnt have been any less exploitative by any degree.
the idea that any other societies like native americans or something could have brought about the industrial revolution is frankly laughable.
