Ive been getting into trying out guix and guile scheme more recently. Ive been interested in lisps and schemes in general these days and the idea of learning it through hacking at making a system suitable to you is really cool to me now. Been learning it in my spare time so ive only practiced a scheme primer along with trying to package applications for guix. I really appreciate how consistent and easy it is to package things in guix, and the guix import feature is a lifesaver, i was trying to package bash-language-server and the sheer amount of node dependencies for that thing is insane. But guix import made it so i could atleast quickly deal with most of it. Its still not packaged cause of a permission error due to the install script trying to make directories and stuff but still, i atleast know i just gotta refer to the manual and possibly learn how to tweak build phases to get it working. ive still got a bunch of packages im trying to get built successfully through guix but overall its been a satisfying experience! I got most of my emacs packages ready for my config and a working set up now
