So I just had to read a study that I found especially painful to get through. Rigid and dense sentences, dense jargon, turgid style. I literally dozed off in parts. Then, the punchline! The end has a line “…the authors used ChatGPT 3.5 in order to improve the language and readability.” Um no, it didn’t work. If you really need help with style editing, hire a science writer/editor.
