#ScribesAndMakers Sep. 4: Reverse of last month's question: if e-books stopped being produced, how much would you miss them?
Frankly? Zero. Zip. Zilch. Not at all. Oh, my *God* does it ever suck that .EPUB is yet another "format" that's just .ZIP in a fake mustache, with absolutely no security for anyone who knows how to change a file extension or just has software that recognizes it by default. It's simple HTML and CSS and it isn't even *semantic.* I regret ever opening one up. I bear the burden of knowing as a programmer what a disaster every bit of it is.
