I have a hard time squaring my cynicism about electoral politics with the fact that we could desperately use some people in government actually limiting the power of these fucking fascists to do harm ("both sides" of them) & actually fucking using the resources of government to meet people's need.

But I think the answer could be through people who understand that that IS their role. It's not to save or reform a corrupt system. It's to cover those bases while the work of change goes on.
