Mass car ownership began in the late 1960s. It will end in the late 2030s, by virtue of car ownership being unaffordable on that scale.
Electric cars are not the answer because they will be just as unaffordable as the ones that are powered by petrochemicals.
The answer is affordable, ecologically responsible, widely available, public transport.
I have this available to me, so I don't need or want a car.
