i think they should, because having them have separate roads will take up more space, additionyally by having passenger vehicles share the road with commercial vehicles the safety requirements of the roads will be obeyed more because workers. kinda have to follow the rules and private passenger vehicles will be forced to do the same by the commercial vehicles

separated busways if needed maybe, but not for private passenger vehicles and definitely not a default

obviously there can be some commercial ways to keep parked vehicles out of the way, but overall sharing should be the default
