My dad is shorter because of childhood rickets, vitamin D deficiency, caused by not getting enough sunlight. He spent too much time passive indoors at age 7, after his dad died in a car crash. It may have been because of #grief, but equally well it may have been because of the late-1940s tranquilizers the doctor prescribed him for the grief. 😔
