Good question - you get 5 Solarpunks in a room and you will have 10 different definitions. Here is my take - solarpunk is a literary genre and increasingly a movement that seeks to bring a realistic but hopeful vision to the climate crisis. The stories tend to be positive on technology that serves people and planet and advocates for place based communities where all are given the space to grow and thrive. It is inherently a philosophy of doing - building a better world now rather than wait for it to come.
