The West has been giving political cover to China over Taiwan for years. And to Russia for years before the 2014 invasion finally made an end to that.
The West has also provided weapons to countless regimes committing atrocities across the world. And still is.
Sure, Gaza is a recent, egregious example, but it's certainly not the first time we've turned a blind eye to suffering because of political and financial interests I would say.
