In all honesty, about 50% of why I prefer C++ is that it reduces this boilerplate, and makes the call site code a little more compact.
About 50% or so is templates.
And then we have to deduct some 25% or so because they had to go and put inheritance in.
(Not an entirely serious response, but not completely wrong, either.)
