…Our culture discounts the future, which is daily devastating our chances of existence. And our web tech culture now also discounts the recent past more than it did.
For much of my past 22 years as a designer/developer it was quite normal to want to support a browser version history of around 5 to 10 years. (Whether people did so well was another matter.)
But these days that window of care has contracted to about 2 years.
And the result is a blithe present
