So all these robots unnerve the hell out of me because they remind me of the "robots" in Disney's movie The Black Hole. Freaky. And then, of course, you learn that the bots are controlled, in large part, by humans elsewhere via remote control. Some poor soul on the other end, slaving away in some fashion.

And, again, in The Black Hole, the robots were actually PEOPLE in the end, stripped of their humanity and put to work for the mad scientist.
