When I think of blockades I think of missed trading opportunities. But it also blocks the flow of knowledge. I makes it harder for scientists to collaborate.

These are observations of Temnothorax on iNaturalist. Cuba is a hot spot of diversity for the genus with few observations. It's not that no one is studying this ant-- you just need to look beyond English language sources.
