One aspect of culture that really makes it hard for me to understand why anyone could hate another race so much is food. How could anyone not want to experience delicious food from other cultures? Racists are the most boring, vanilla weirdos with horrible taste in everything.
There's a shopping center in town that always has amazing looking Latin American food. The businesses in it come and go and we've only tried a few but they are always good and the people are always kind.
The first place we ever tried was Taqueria El Barrio, a Salvadorian taco place where the owners and staff barely spoke English but they were as nice as can be and their food was amazing. Still some of the best tacos I've ever had. I'm still sad that it's gone but there are a few newer places in there I want to try.
