Richard Carroll (nprofile…le9r) okasion :archlinux: (nprofile…jnpj) Stone Cold Steve Autism (nprofile…p4qp) Agreed; perhaps a better word/showing my age and my first resort to reducing the problem and names before expanding with important details:
We're counter-revolutionaries actively opposed to the modern form of revolution that started with the French one in the late 18th Century, that still literally wants us and our loved ones stone cold dead.
And this is now getting seriously talked about in the US as the foreign funded DSA is using the Democratic Party apparatus to knock off pols like (((Dan Goldman))) (who's awful, but interestingly six year younger). We've seen this game play out before....
But I'm not sure how serious they are about killing us, something I theorize is from human nature changing a bit with modern medicine, which effectively closed with the advent of (enough) antibiotics.
Death from disease was from omnipresent, many if not most families would lose children before they were grown, all the way to the son of US President Calvin Coolidge dying about a week after he got a blister from playing tennis without socks on the White House courts in 1924. This pretty much broke Calvin, death by that point was less common due to improvements in public heath (back when that was a real thing vs. clown show in the US), acceptance of the germ theory of infectious disease and resulting use of antiseptics, hand soap etc. etc.
So now most people have reasonable expectations of not dying by surprise at least until their sixties or later. That's got to have some effect in how willing you are to get into a life and death struggle where you might die in combat or to a "White Terror" if your side loses. (Vs. the once omnipresent Red Terrors of Communists that killed over a hundred million in the 20th Century.)
Back to the political theory: gav (nprofile…4sdc) "i dont think law and order democrats like during the bill clinton term exist anymore"
Yeah, the "Blue Dogs" sacrificed their movement as well as careers to push through Obamacare, which at best is making private care so expensive it'll push us into universal government care and no doubt in short order euthanizing children under twelve as the Netherlands did late last year which we're hearing about it now. Or see Canada where that's now more than 5% of the annual deaths, sixth leading cause.
Per Wikipedia, the Blue Dog Coalition as such formed in 1995, peaked at 54 members in 2007, just before the election of the Lightbringer ... from Chicago (seriously???), are now down to ten members and I add no one talks about them today.
