Probably the most interesting thing about "AI" is the way it seems designed to exploit various cognitive weaknesses in people, whether it's the gambling impulse or reducing cognitive load by outsourcing their thinking to a machine.
That it's nevertheless wildly unpopular outside of niche groups is a testament to how much "AI" actually sucks and how sick people are of tech company overreach.
