It's a series that knows what it is and doesn't really beat around the bush. The MC doesn't act like a bitch in every single situation or upon seeing any girl, if anything he almost adapts too quickly but that's part of the fun. While there's a world and recurring plot threads built up, there's no bullshit mega villain like some isekai try and almost every single one fails at. The series, if anything, is the author having fun with a series written with a sci-fi focus and some minor fantasy elements. (Does elves being elves really matter if they're in space? This series says no, which is fair. There are still special racial things with elves but what good is talking to a wood spirit in a world where someone can obliterate a planet's surface? To that end, the elf being here is merely because she's cute. Eventually some more fantasy stuff does creep in proper, but no matter what the focus tries not to escape the fact that it's still sci-fi.)
So yeah, kinda junk, but it's good junk. At the very least it beats 99% of all isekai by doing the bare minimum of understanding itself and taking place somewhere other than totally-not-dragon-quest world.
