This is the most disgusting, racist, demeaning holiday ever.
The Emancipation Procolamation did NOT FREE SLAVES in the US. It freed slaves NOT in the US! Rather like issuing a proclamation freeing prisoners in China in hopes they will revolt.
A Union General claimed slaves in Texas were free 18 months before the 13th Amendment.
Now we take this day off to celebrate stupidity?
But we don't take off Veterans Day.
