I also loved “White Noise”!
But then I read “Ratner’s Star”, which seemed like an attempt to satirise the practice of science by someone without the slightest idea what scientists did, and I hated it so much I didn’t read any more of his books ... until now, decades later.
I didn’t like “Zero K” as much as “White Noise”; it’s nowhere near as sharp and funny. But it’s readable, and not too long, and has a kind of tone and vision that I could enjoy and appreciate.
