Well, the documentary concludes w/ a fair point that fascism is home-grown, though 1930s-era American Nazis did support German Nazis. Some of the prominent leaders of American groups of the time had emigrated from Germany to the US, as well (there's video where one prominent leader of an American Nazi group makes speeches in English w/ a German accent – pretty creepy video w/ the group raising the American flag only slightly above the Nazi flag that was alongside it).
