this implies that "health" is the mitigation of bad.

My version of "health" is not the mitigation of the "bad", but overcoming and/or growing through or in spite of pain/suffering/"the bad".

A person who drinks but does not become an alcoholic.

A person who eats fat but does not become fat.

A person who eats meat but is not a "carnivore".

A person who stays up late for an actual reason, instead of just because.
