An interesting read! Thanks for the share.

It reminds me of the places in towns along the coast of East Africa and also Arabian/South Asian, where people meet to drink tea and socialize, notably Jaws Corner in Stone Town, Zanzibar; a lot of political talks happen in these places, though it is by ordinary folk drinking tea rather than elites drinking coffee.
