Dear Mr. President,

I am writing to express serious concern over the growing disconnect between the commitments made during your campaign and the realities of current domestic policy implementation. Many Americans expected an administration that would prioritize our nation’s infrastructure, economic stability, and sovereignty above continued foreign obligations and international spending.

I respectfully request clarity and decisive action regarding the following issues:

Tariff Refunds
While U.S. Customs and Border Protection launched the Consolidated Administration and Processing of Entries (CAPE) portal on April 20, 2026, to facilitate refunds related to IEEPA tariffs invalidated by the Supreme Court, the process remains inadequate for the American public. The burden has been placed largely on importers, with no meaningful mechanism to ensure relief reaches the consumers who ultimately absorbed the increased costs through higher prices. Americans deserve a transparent, accessible, and efficient process that returns these funds to the citizens who bore the financial impact—not solely to corporate entities.

D.O.G.E. Dividends
On February 19, 2025, during the FII Priority Summit, you stated that you were considering returning 20% of Department of Government Efficiency savings directly to American citizens. To date, no substantive legislative framework or implementation plan has been introduced. With the July 2026 deadline for the task force approaching, the public deserves concrete action and accountability rather than continued speculation surrounding a proposal that many experts now view as unlikely to materialize.

Foreign Policy and Overseas Funding
Your March 17, 2026 remarks concerning NATO, Japan, and South Korea suggested a strategic shift away from extensive U.S. financial and military commitments abroad. I urge your administration to follow through by ending taxpayer-funded support for the war in Ukraine, reducing financial commitments to NATO, and reevaluating long-standing military subsidization in Korea, Japan, and Israel. Resources currently directed overseas should instead be invested in domestic infrastructure, modernization of the power grid, economic revitalization, and support for the American workforce.

The American people are increasingly frustrated by the perception that foreign stability continues to take precedence over urgent domestic needs. Citizens expect this administration to focus on rebuilding the nation at home and delivering the economic relief and policy priorities that were promised.

Respectfully, Clinton
I would also like to address the growing frustration surrounding domestic energy costs. American taxpayers have funded and maintained strategic oil reserves for decades, yet major corporations continue to profit from these resources while consumers face rising fuel prices. If these reserves exist to protect the American people and stabilize domestic energy costs, why are citizens still paying inflated prices at the pump for fuel derived from resources already secured through taxpayer investment? The public deserves transparency regarding how these reserves are being utilized and why the financial benefits appear to favor large energy companies rather than the American families who ultimately funded them. https://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/
