I'm in Canada, but we went from a tight, but almost comfortable two income household to a tight and just surviving single income household almost overnight. I think there are a lot of those households. My partner's income has not increased to keep up with inflation for several years as well, so each year we actually have less even when she has occasionally been given a small raise.
