Just to be clear, I do NOT support JKR's views on transgenderism. When I was trying to understand, I found a podcast called The Witch Trials of JK Rowling in which she airs her POV with an interviewer (whose story is also interesting). There is also an episode where trans fans of JKR speak about how her actions have affected them, and their own trans journeys. The podcast was more nuanced than the title suggests. I now understand why even if I don't agree.
