Sailfish OS at FOSDEM 2025 recap
Sailfish 5 is now in Early Access for all supported devices, and we’re thrilled with the positive feedback so far. Thank you for your input—keep it coming!
At FOSDEM 2025, the Linux on Mobile stand was packed with visitors eager to discuss open-source mobile platforms. Over the weekend, we had 500–1000 visitors stopping by, making this year even busier than before!
At our BoF session, we explored:
⚓ Roadmap plans beyond Sailfish 5.0
⚓ GCC, systemd & Gecko ESR 102 updates
⚓ New microG support for smoother daily use
⚓ Open-source plans for Sailfish OS
And of course, we wrapped up the weekend with a fantastic Sailfish community meetup in Brussels.
