I am not agreeing that "Canadian wildfires are bad, actually, and because of air flow circulation patterns their smoke harms midwestern US cities terribly" gets to be a Trumpist talking point or a problem we aren't going to discuss.
Canadians, this is the clearest example of "your shit does actually stink, too" I have ever seen- feel free to develop some capacity to be rightly criticized. It will help you to protect what you care about far more than self-righteous defensiveness.
