Sometimes wars are fought over territory, and then the winners settle.
Don't want any more of that happening, but trying to re-ignite the war over and over again for generations, when you barely have a chance at all anyway, is certainly not a smart move. Sadly, Palestinians have been learning this lesson in the most horrendous way since Oct 7. At least, I hope it will be learned this time, and they'll stop trying.
