Mounting directly to the handle yea. Look at that pic. That dude has a full mount on top. Also super short eye relief + high mount is a poor option. If your eye box as small you want a tighter weld to control the rifle better so you don’t lose position while you shoot. Higher mounts can work for dots, less so for magnified optics. Obviously room for some preference there.
