My fellow autists, how do you know when your current special interest is over?
For the last month and a half or so, I've been obsessing over Dumbing of Age cartoon, as I've said in several toots. Yesterday I finished reading the latest volume that is currently out in print format, that is, my first rereading of the first twelve volumes. Suddenly the inner need to devour everything "dumbiverse" just vanished. Now I feel I'm in between two special interests.
I've felt this kind of sudden disappearance of interest in something so many times in my life. Only now I understand a bit better what is it about. I've reached a certain threshold in devouring information on a topic and my mind wants to move to another direction. It's as if my conscious mind has no say in this.
