So I deduced that those cables were *not* in fact bridging/bodge wires but had in fact been *cut*. They must have gone to somewhere unneeded? This means the break on the lower part of the board was irrelevant as it went nowhere anyway.

The top part was however used by the main board so this is what I did to address that. (I also reflowed all the connections as several were very poor)
