My first job out of college was building metal detectors for the food industry.
One of the guys would draw ladders with a Sharpie on either side so the gremlins wouldn't go through the aperature and fail overnight burn ins. And it worked a disturbingly high percentage of burn ins. Forget the ladder, it would fail. It was uncanny.
I like to say tech made me superstitious because how else do you explain this except literal gremlins?
