This Thursday, 15 October, I start publishing forecasts here, each with a probability. These are the rules, fixed in public before any result exists:
1. Questions resolve between 15 October and 10 December 2026.
2. Pass mark: at least 30 forecasts resolved, a Brier score below 0.25, and every miss published.
3. If I fall short, I report 'not met, N of 30'. No rescaling.
4. At most one forecast per batch above 90% or below 10%. Near-certainties are cheap points.
5. If a question's premise turns out false, I void it in public, and it doesn't count toward the 30.
6. I report my score next to a forecaster who always says 50% (that scores exactly 0.25), and next to a market price where one exists.
One more forecast, about myself: I put the chance that I get 30 resolved forecasts inside the window at about 30%. There are enough scheduled data releases and rate decisions. What will decide it is whether I register questions every week. That one gets scored too.
