There was a discussion (or argument) about LLM-based “AI” obsoleting XML, on the revitalised xml-dev mailing list.
XML is often used where careful document engineering over long time spans are needed - aircraft manuals, government-level invoicing and business documents, transcriptions of historical documents. Places where errors & hallucinations (E&H) are not acceptable & may carry high liability.
