That is something ive spent my fair bit of time raging at; and trying to come to terms with.
I've mostly settled on something akin to harm reduction. Nothing I build or do is going to make use of slop directly; but there is little I can do about it seeping into my tools or my tool's dependencies; I fear. Where I can, ill prioritize slop-free tools, but thats aspirational; and in many places impractical.
