christians are complicit, for dumb doctrinal reasons, greed, and generally being stupid and manipulable. but they're downstream of the animating causes of zionism which 100% of the time tracks back to an identifiable subset of jewish people (not even remotely all jewish people) who are acting in an ethnic chauvinist (and sometimes, supremacist) interest. At this point honestly, ignoring the obvious connection of Israel and Jewishness is at the same tier as arguing that the civil war was not actually about slavery.
