I replaced our rice cooker recently (it still functioned fine, but the non-stick coating on the bowl was beginning to come apart) and went out of my way to get another traditional magnetic one. They are indeed getting hard to find except at the cheap and nasty end of the market but I was eventually able to find a decent one with a stainless steel bowl. With the incredibly simple design and no non-stick coating it should outlive me.
