#ScribesAndMakers Sep. 14: What's your favorite type of story setting?
If we look at where most of my work resides, it's either semi-modern fantasy or space.
"Semi-modern" because typically they aren't set much past 2005 and nobody has cell phones OR the worlds are either some post-apocalypse or otherwise mix magic and tech in such a way that guns don't simply rule everything. Or else things are just anachronistic enough it's impossible to pin down when they could possibly be.
Space stuff tends to be soft sci-fi for my games because that's more fun, but even my hard sci-fi has allowances for weirdness.
