"This short video summarizes allegations and legal arguments in pending court filings. Most homeowners think a property tax dispute is about one number: the value assigned to a home. What if the method used to create thousands of values is itself unlawful, and the only administrative board (Appraisal Review Board or Board of Equalization) can adjust one number for one year, but cannot decide whether the systemwide method is lawful, or order future compliance? The chain matters... Data and models produce appraisal values... Those values are certified... Certified values drive taxes, budgets, debt capacity, and enforcement against property owners. The filings argue that the appraisal review board can hear an individual protest, but cannot declare a countywide method unlawful, compel a forensic review, award constitutional relief, or require the chief appraiser to follow the law in future years. In other words, the structure now laid bare is the method, intent to defraud, which is being protected by the Texas courts including SCOTX and which is replicable from state to state. That creates an alleged four step catch twenty-two: designate the board as the exclusive forum, restrict what it can decide, require owners to exhaust that process, and then dismiss the court case because the administrative process was exclusive thus the process of the intent to defraud to take your money via overvaluation and over taxation a majority of which is used to cover interest on fraudulent school district bonds."
